Undergraduate Open Registration

posted Aug 15, 2013, 9:59 AM by

Open registration begins Thursday, August 15th at 9:00pm until Wednesday, September 4th at 11:59pm.  At that time, registration will be open for all returning undergraduate students as well as new students that have already attended orientation.  You will not need an alternate pin to access registration once it opens.

Important Notes:
1) Being registered for less than 12 credits at any time results in a part time student status.  This status may affect: housing, financial aid, tuition billing, Veteran's Administration, NCAA, or other athletic eligibility. It is the student's responsibility to monitor their own enrollment status.  If you have not registered or are currently only part time and wish to be full time, you need to update your schedule before September 4th at 11:59pm.  After registering, you may want to contact Student Accounts at and Financial Aid at to inform them of your status change.

2) If you have not registered or are not able to make changes to your registration due to a hold on your account, you will need to contact the department that entered the hold before you will have access to register.

3)  If you are on a Leave of Absence and would like to return for Fall 2013, please email to that effect.

4)  Students in a course that meets once a week on Mondays will have an extension to drop the Monday only course.  This extension is due to the holiday on Monday, September 2nd.  Monday only courses will not have their first class meeting until Monday, September 9th.  Students that wish to DROP a Monday only course may do so through Tuesday, September 10th until 4:00pm by visiting the Registrar’s Office or emailing  Students will not be permitted to add a course (unless it is also a Monday only course) due to the number of class sessions they would have missed by this date.

5) If you are still looking for courses to take, there are seats in Creative Arts courses like Landscape Painting, Life Drawing, and Design for the Working World.  Search for these courses on U-Online by selecting Attribute type Creative Arts.

6) If, unfortunately, you no longer plan on attending UNE, you will need to fill out the appropriate paperwork for either a Leave of Absence or Withdrawal.  Forms are available online at  Completed forms should be turned into Student Affairs.

7) Attention students planning to graduate in December: all courses must be graded in December to graduate.  If you are in a travel course, your course may not be complete until January.  If this is the case, you are not eligible to graduate in December and must wait until May.  Please keep this in mind when adding travel courses to your schedule.

8) U-Online is now ready to accept Enrollment Confirmations for Fall 2013.  You will receive a specific email on this process shortly.  Briefly, all students are required to participate in the Enrollment Confirmation process each semester.  Confirming your enrollment signals to all the service offices (registration, billing, housing, and financial aid) that you will be attending UNE for the semester.  The deadline to confirm your enrollment is Friday, August 30th at 11:59pm.
