The November issue of Down East magazine features the UNE's Maine Women Writers Collection
in a visually engaging two-page spread. The story states, "The voices
of Maine's women have found an enduring home at the Maine Women's
Writers Collection at the University of New England ... it is a living,
breathing homage to all the women on the wall and to all the women
writers, past and present, from the Pine Tree State." MWWC curator Cally Gurley
is also quoted in the article, saying, "You could go somewhere and just
start writing...You could write at home. Or you could be in a place
where that endeavor permeates the whole setting." |
