Work by Stephen Burt, associate professor and chair of the Department of Creative and Fine Arts, was chosen for inclusion in the 2010 National Juried Competition. The show was juried by Lance Esplund, art critic for the Wall Street Journal,and will be held at First Street Gallery, New York, NY, June 23–July 17, 2010;  opening reception Saturday June 26th 3-5pm, 526 West 26th Street Suite 915, New York, NY 10001.

Burt's work was also awarded First Prize, Palm Beach State College, Lake Worth, FL- 6th Annual Juried Competition, April 8th – June 17th 2010, Jan and Gary Dario Gallery, Lake Worth, Florida 33461; and the Juror’s Choice Award, Cambridge Art Association, Cambridge, MA- 2010 Northeast Prize Show, May 14th – June 23rd 2010; Opening reception Thursday, May 20th 6-8pm, Cambridge Art Association, Cambridge, MA 02108.
