Thursday December 1
4-8 p.m.
St. Francis Room

World AIDS Day is observed December 1 each year, and is dedicated to raising awareness, fighting prejudice, and improving education about the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection.  Join us for a presentation by Dr. Godefroy Watchiba, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, followed by the opportunity for quiet reflection and meditation by walking the UNE Labyrinth.

4:00 p.m. - AIDS Awareness Day Presentation
Dr. Godefroy Watchiba, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, will discuss his work as a medical doctor int DRC working with AIDS/HIV patients.

5:30-8:00 p.m.- Labyrinth Walk

Take time out of your busy, stressful, end of the semester to walk the UNE Labyrinth. The labyrinth, which is best explained as "meditation in motion," takes only 10-20 minutes to walk and is a calming and centering experience not to be missed. Come and try it!
