Program Description:  Peg Cruikshank, women’s studies lecturer and
author, will discuss current issues in aging and ageism, with particular
focus on issues faced by LGBT elders. Cruikshank is the author of The
Gay and Lesbian Liberation Movement, (1992) and an interdisciplinary
book Learning to be Old: Gender Culture and Aging (2nd edition 2009).
She has been teaching LGBT courses at various schools on the East and
West Coasts since 1982.
