Spring Field and Travel courses to Kenya and Ireland Or Spring Semester in Mexico

KENYA
ENV 399: Adv Topics: Environment, Health & Community Development in East Africa
Dr. Richard Peterson, rpeterson@une.edu
This course includes a three-week field course in Kenya, May 23-June 14, 2010. 
Lab Fee for travel expenses: approximately $4,000
 
The field course includes lectures at the University of Nairobi and the National Museums of Kenya, a visit to Nairobi National Park, exploration of the capital city, a trip through the Great Rift Valley to Kisumu on the shores of Lake Victoria, hands-on learning with a variety of community service, environmental, research and government organizations, weekend home stays with Kenyan families, and a 3-day safari in Masai Mara National Reserve.

IRELAND
HIS 328: Adv:Irish History

This course offers a two-week travel component in Ireland, May 25-June 8, 2010.
Lab Fee for travel expenses: $4,600

Travel throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland with visits to numerous sites including Dublin, Cork, Londonderry, and Belfast.

UNE MEXICO
SEMESTER IN Cuernavaca

Spring semester 2010

You can spend the ENTIRE spring semester in sunny Cuernavaca, Mexico studying with UNE professor Robert Alegre and other UNE students at Tecnologico de Monterrey.  Escape a Maine winter, learn Spanish, study Mexican history & culture, complete core course CIT 400, and take elective classes of your choosing.  No prior Spanish required.
