Nicole Chaison chronicles the roller coaster of passion that is parenting in her tri-annually published Hausfrau muthah-zine, which has generated a cult following among the lactating and radically sleep-deprived. Chaison also wrote the James Beard Award-nominated Spice (ReganBooks, 2006), and her stories and comics have appeared in Mamaphiles, The Wife of Bath, MotherWords, The Bad Mother Chronicles, and the collection Forty Things to Do When You Turn Forty (Sellers, 2007). A one-woman show based on the stories in her zine opened at Portland Stage Company in March 2009 to rave reviews. Chaison's graphic novel, The Passion of the Hausfrau, was released in June 2009 by Villard/Random House. www.passionofthehausfrau.com.
