Nonantum Resort to Host Buffet Breakfast

Part of the Saturday Fundraising Series of Buffet Breakfasts

On Saturday morning November 13  from 7:30-10am at The Nonantum Resort located at 95 Ocean Avenue in Kennebunkport there will be a Buffet Breakfast to benefit  the Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center (MARC) Project at UNE. The cost of the breakfast will be $9.95 for adults and $4.95 for children under 10.  50% of the proceeds of the breakfast will be donated to UNE/MARC.

The Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center is an important division of the University of New England's Marine Science Education and Research Center. The rehabilitation facility is part of a network of centers authorized by the National Marine Fisheries Service to rescue and rehabilitate stranded marine mammals and sea turtles. MARC not only rescues and rehabilitates animals, but also works to develop the most effective means of rehabilitation, and researches the causes of marine mammal mortality and the state of the marine environment.

“With our official mascot being Henry The Harbor Seal we felt this was an important group for us to support, stated Tine Hewett-Gordon, General Manager of The Nonantum.  MARC plays an important role in helping to educate us all about the marine wildlife around us so I am thrilled that we can help in this way”
