Greetings all, I'd like to invite you to a town hall style meeting, the focus of which will be "Change". I am sure I'm setting myself up for some great comparison to Health Care Reform town hall meetings but there is no better way to describe what has been happening for the last 18 months. This has been a busy year for ITS with a particularly busy summer. As I look at my project board I can track no fewer than 28 changes that have taken place or are in progress with ITS technologies or services. Some are major while others take place quietly behind the scenes. Some have made little fuss while others have created major challenges. We've expanded services, reorganized, and rethought much of what ITS did in the past how it will do things in the future; all with no substantial increases in staffing levels. At the start of the spring semester I invited faculty to meet with me and talk about the new technologies and directions ITS was heading and how it would impact how we, as a University, do business. Now that the semester is rolling I'd like to take the opportunity to share our progress and get your feedback. I invite you to attend a session on one of the following dates. Bring your opinions and ideas. Stay as long as you can. I'll provide the cookies and coffee.
